Ruggell (Liechtenstein). The packaging industry will be subject to strict new rules from the end of 2025 when the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) enters into force. Under the new legislation, anyone who uses wood, paper or leather as packaging materials must, among other things, provide end-to-end proof of origin – right down to the GPS coordinates of the trees used. Its upcoming introduction has triggered a lot of activity in the industry. While many manufacturers are still looking for solutions, hardwood specialist Danzer has long since made all of the necessary preparations.

Ruggell (FL). Mit der Europäischen Entwaldungsverordnung (EUDR) bekommt die Verpackungsindustrie ab Ende 2025 neue, strenge Spielregeln. Das heißt: Wer Holz, Papier oder Leder als Verpackungsmaterialien einsetzt, muss unter anderem deren Herkunft lückenlos nachweisen – bis hin zu den GPS-Koordinaten der verwendeten Bäume. Das hat für viel Bewegung in der Branche gesorgt. Doch während viele Hersteller noch nach Lösungen suchen, hat sich das Laubholzunternehmen Danzer längst vorbereitet.
