At BAU 2027, Getzner Werkstoffe, a leading expert in vibration isolation, will be focusing in particular on the challenges posed by vibrations in urban areas. Getzner’s participation in the trade fair is centred around the theme “Building Beyond Limits – Unlocking Potential with Vibration Isolation and Sound Control”. At Booth 430 in Hall B6, Getzner will demonstrate how professional reduction of vibration and noise can both protect the building structure and improve the quality of life in inner cities. There are innovative applications on display that contribute to safety, user comfort, performance and the preservation of a building’s value. “Our experts will demonstrate how vibration isolation creates greater freedom in location choice and flexibility in building use. This opens up new ways to enhance properties and maintain their value in the long term,” explains Jürgen Rainalter, CEO of Getzner Werkstoffe from Bürs, Vorarlberg (AT).

Effective protection against disruptive influences
Vibrations can propagate through a building as structure-borne noise and become noticeable as disturbing noise. These vibrations can originate from outside – for example, from traffic – as well as from inside, caused by building services or impact sound. “We offer customised solutions for vibration protection that are perfectly integrated. The professional decoupling of vibration sources ensures the highest level of quality, noise reduction and comfort, even in locations exposed to significant vibration levels or in mixed-use developments,” emphasises Jürgen Rainalter.

Vibration protection that unlocks new areas for development
At BAU 2027, Getzner will demonstrate the challenges posed by vibrations in urban construction and how elastic bearings can protect buildings located next to railway tracks or above underground lines from vibration transmission. “Our solutions allow attractive living and working environments even in places where vibrations previously imposed limitations,” stresses Jürgen Rainalter.

Building acoustics for flexible use and enhanced living comfort
Getzner’s structural acoustic solutions reduce the transmission of impact sound and structure-borne noise, thereby improving living comfort. This allows living, working and commercial spaces to coexist under one roof and avoids conflicts of use. Such solutions are particularly relevant for renovation, retrofitting and urban densification projects, where additional living space can be created without compromising protection against noise and vibration. Acoustic decoupling also enables greater flexibility in building use, helping to make properties future-proof and preserve their long-term value.

Digital tools to facilitate decision-making and planning
The potential assessment and efficient planning of construction projects are playing an increasingly important role today. Getzner supports investors, architects and professional planners in making well-informed decisions on location, planning and specifications. The vibration control expert relies on digital tools to simplify complex processes and enhance planning reliability. “We support our customers in every phase of the project: from consultancy before planning begins, through design, to supervision on-site. We provide EPD data for our materials and are integrated into many planning tools. Engineers also have access to our own online calculation tools,” explains Marc Stern, Regional Sales Director at Getzner Werkstoffe Deutschland GmbH.

Expert lectures held directly at the booth
Complementing the BAU 2027 programme, a series of specialist presentations at the exhibition stand will provide in-depth insights into topics such as new opportunities in urban project development and the sustainability of vibration protection.
